Can't see the wood for the trees....? Landsense Professional Ltd have provided Silvicultural consultancy, advice and strategic planning on a wide range of matters of all sizes from single grant scheme applications to large scale clear felling operations. Pro-active woodland management is an important area of land management with many long term benefits.

Our links with our sister company Landsense Ltd gives us the unique position of being able to consult with a practical team on a range of forest and woodland management issues and projects. Forests are now recognised as important factors in controlling atmospheric carbon dioxide and are consequently becoming the subject of more government scrutiny and control but are also attracting more funding from the EU. Woodland biodiversity and ecosystem management are therefore becoming major issues for the industry

New focus is also falling on issues of sustainability and community; identifying the users of woodlands, the importance of such amenities for society and the establishment of community woodland projects. One of the resulting schemes is the English Woodland Grant Scheme 2005, supported through the Rural Development Programme for England - which provides Woodland Creation grants, Regeneration grants, Improvement grants, Planning grants, Management grants and Assessment grants.

Landsense Professional Ltd have experience in dealing with a variety of EWGS applications, and would be happy to advise on amongst others any of the following forestry and woodland services:
